Summer 2009--4th of July

FROGS, 5K, PARADE, AND KITTEN

Riley spent a few late nights before the 4th of July collecting frogs with the cheerleaders for their carnival fund raiser. I love the idea it is so "un-cheerleader-like!" She also spent time with her new kitten, Bubba, that Joe approved of during a weak moment while I was at Ragnar.

The morning of the 4th of July was the Ray Barrus 5k--Courtnee and I ran with my nephew Taylor and Riley performed with the cheerleaders at the flag ceremony. Next was the parade--Riley with the cheerleaders and Lainey and Halle with Grantsville Dance. After a quiet afternoon in air conditioning, we spent the afternoon and evening with the Turner family eating, talking, playing games, and enjoying fireworks. It was a great day!
