Courtnee received her acceptance letter to BYU on Friday, February 13, at 10:30 p.m. She is excited, relieved, overwhelmed, and soooooooooo grateful...and so are the rest of us. She is the third generation in the Turner family to attend BYU and the 10th member of our family (yes, I am counting the Leslie's...and the Brian's). I guess we could count her the fifth generation, once removed, or something. My great-grandma attended BYU Academy in 1905.
We are now working on scholarships--hopefully lots, housing--mom and dad insist on the dorms--and a job--Courtnee insists on the Religion Department. She would be the 4th "Turner" to work there. I worked there while I attended BYU and then I helped my sister Lynnette get a job there. She in turn helped my sister Lesley get a job and we are hoping Lesley can help Courtnee.
This whole experience is so exciting and surreal for me. I can't believe I have a daughter old enough to be going to college and I can't believe it has been 24 years since I was planning my freshman year at BYU! Joe's main concern is how soon can she purchase her football tickets!
CONGRATULATIONS COURTNEE! WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!
